Take Me Out of the Way.

Oh Lord, I try to help
when I see a hurting soul
I try my hardest to help
them be made whole.

I've shared my thoughts
I've prayed you'd guide
Sometimes I've just
been by their side.

When I could,
I've held them tight
I've gotten my weapons out
to help them fight.

But with all my efforts
and all my good intentions
Sometimes, it does more harm for me to stay.
So Father,
Take me out of the way.

Though it hurts
to see the hurting.
I will choose to trust
that you- Almighty healer
are in control.
And its in YOU
that the broken are made whole.

Use me, Lord, as you will
but if its for the best,
Take me out of the way.
