Filled with unkind words and invisible daggers.

Remind me of those who live life without.
The thousands of people stuck in a drought.
Remind me of children who are lucky to eat.
The thousands of people, no shoes on their feet.
Remind me of the girls sold to man’s lust.
The families who sell her, believing they must.
Remind me of countries with sewage as water.
The cultures submitting innocent people to slaughter.
Remind me of fathers enslaved to cutting stone
And their children whose inheritance will be his loan.

Remind me, Lord, my problems are nothing.
In the land that I live, I will always have something.
Even our homeless are rich when compared.
