When I see You, it's like a sunrise in my heart

Once my heart was dark and blind

The crown I bore- a futile mind

Many cares weighed me down

Many smiles turned to frowns.

Wearied by the daily grind

Contentment was so hard to find

Hopelessness, like a gown

Covered me and kept me bound.

There I was, in a bind,

When Satan’s plans were all maligned.

God swept in and saved the day

Suddenly, all my burdens fell away.

A light inside began to shine

the moment my heart was redefined

Like a sunrise after the night

Joy came in and filled my heart.
